Our story starts with a Nonna and her granddaughter preparing Sunday dinners, baking weekly taralles, and countless hours of hand-rolled, fresh cavatelli.
The next chapter blossoms into the granddaughter sharing the passion she gained, with the entire world.
Angela Santa Barbara, of Oakville, CT founded Filo Foods, LLC in July of 2023 in honor of its namesake and her Italian grandmother {Nonna}, Filomena.
Filo Foods specializes in a variety of cookies, desserts, and more, but specifically highlights traditional italian specialties that Angela grew up learning in her Nonna’s kitchen.
A Message From Angela
It has always been a dream of mine to share my passion for cooking and baking with the world.
I grew up learning from my grandmother and mother, always expressing love for my family & friends through food. The italian culture is defined by family, hard work, and loyal love, & it is important that it is remembered and carried for many years to come.
I have watched customers, family, and friends enjoy our products from when my grandmother was making them 20 years ago, to today….and I look forward to the future of Filo Foods.
Our bakery is currently located at a home location in Oakville, CT, offering delivery & pickup only. Our unique menu offers a modern twist on the classic Italian baked goods, while keeping traditions alive with every bite. We have been represented at many of our customers big life events & milestones, and we look forward to seeing you soon at yours!
My family plays an integral role in this company, and has allowed me to pursue my dream & passion. I thank my husband, Louis, my parents Lucia and Dave, my grandfather Giovanni, and my older brother David for their support, hard work, and inspiration.
I challenge my generation, and people all over the world, to spend time with their loved ones, learn about their gifts and passions, and share them ~ because time is a thief, and that special time can make your world shine a little brighter, without you even realizing.
